These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Peak Canine Performance Ltd. By booking an appointment, attending a session, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Services
Peak Canine Performance provides professional canine services including:
• Canine hydrotherapy
• Veterinary Physiotherapy
• LASER Therapy
• Canine Conditioning
• Gait analysis and movement assessment
• Electrotherapies
All services are delivered by suitably trained, qualified, and insured professionals, and may be provided independently or as part of a multidisciplinary veterinary-led approach.
2. Veterinary Consent & Health Information
Veterinary Referral
Veterinary consent is required prior to hydrotherapy, rehabilitation, or physiotherapy-led services where applicable, in line with UK legislation and professional governing body guidance (including IRVAP).
Health Disclosure
Owners are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information regarding their dog’s health, including:
• Medical conditions or injuries
• Recent surgery
• Medication or supplements
• Behavioural concerns relevant to handling or water work
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in treatment being delayed or discontinued in the interests of safety and welfare.
Vaccinations, Flea & Worming, and Titre Testing
All dogs attending Peak Canine Performance must:
• Be up-to-date with core vaccinations (e.g., Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis)
• Be vaccinated for Kennel Cough (Bordetella)
• Be on a regular flea and worming programme appropriate for their age and lifestyle
Titre Testing:
Owners may provide titre test results to demonstrate immunity as an alternative to vaccination where appropriate.
Attendance at Owner’s Risk:
Dogs that are not fully vaccinated, not on a flea and worming programme, or without confirmed titres may only attend at the owner’s risk. Owners accept full responsibility for any health issues that may arise.
We also reserve the right to refuse attendance or discontinue treatment for dogs that do not meet these requirements, in order to protect the health and safety of other dogs and staff.
3. Canine Conditioning Services
Canine Conditioning services are designed to support performance, injury prevention, and general wellbeing. They are not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Where appropriate, veterinary clearance should be obtained before commencing exercise-based programmes.
4. Appointments, Cancellations & Late Arrivals
Cancellations
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or failure to attend an appointment, may be charged at 100% of the session fee.
Late Arrivals
Late arrival may result in a shortened session in order to accommodate other clients. Full session fees will still apply. For the avoidance of doubt, "late arrivals" will be from 10 minutes past the posted session time.
5. Fees & Payment
• Payment is due on or before the day of the appointment unless otherwise agreed.
• Packages and programmes must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable.
• Prices are subject to review and may change with reasonable notice.
6. Safety, Handling & Welfare
• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times unless directed otherwise by a member of staff.
• We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if a dog is deemed unsafe to handle, unwell, excessively stressed, or unsuitable for the planned session.
• Sessions may be adapted or stopped at any time in the best interests of the dog’s welfare.
7. Outcomes & Expectations
While every effort is made to provide high-quality, evidence-based care, outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Progress depends on many factors including the dog’s health status, compliance with home exercise programmes, and veterinary involvement where required.
8. Owner Responsibilities
Owners are responsible for:
• Following post-session advice and home exercise guidelines
• Informing us promptly of any changes in their dog’s health or behaviour
• Ensuring dogs are clean prior to hydrotherapy sessions
Failure to follow guidance may affect outcomes and, in some cases, the ability to continue treatment.
9. Liability
Peak Canine Performance holds appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
We take all reasonable care in the delivery of our services. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
We cannot accept responsibility for:
• Pre-existing medical conditions or injuries
• Changes in a dog’s condition outside of sessions
• Loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises
Owners remain responsible for their dog at all times, including their behaviour and welfare before, during, and after sessions.
10. Photography, Video & Media
Photography and video (including underwater or gait footage) may be taken for clinical assessment, professional collaboration, and owner education.
Media will not be used for marketing or promotional purposes without explicit consent.
11. Data Protection
All personal data is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Information is stored securely and shared only where necessary for clinical, professional, or legal reasons.
12. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services at our discretion, including where these Terms & Conditions are breached or where continued treatment is not in the best interests of the dog or safety of staff.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always apply and will be published on our website.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
